Karen Nevarez OTR/L

Born and raised in Bergen County, NJ, Karen moved to the west coast and received her Bachelor of Science (2010) and Master of Arts (2011) degrees from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. She has since moved back to her roots in NJ with her husband and two young boys. Karen enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, exercising, yoga, spending time with family and curating little adventures and creative experiences for her kids.

Karen has practiced in pediatrics since the beginning of her career and in a variety of settings, including public and private schools, clinics, hospitals and early intervention. She utilizes evidence-based practice in her care and is a huge advocate for continued professional development. She is dually licensed as an occupational therapist in the states of New Jersey and California.

Karen has coached families and caregivers through the therapy process and how best to support their child. She has been on both sides of this process, as a practitioner and as a mom of a child in therapy.
